PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Caldwell University men's lacrosse team fell in their final conference contest 23-4 in Chestnut Hill College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game.
The Cougars fall to 2-10 overall and finished 0-6 in the CACC, while the Griffins improve to 9-6 and 5-1 in conference play.
The Griffins built an early lead as junior
Kevin Albright (Mays Landing, N.J.) got the Cougars on the board with a goal in the third quarter.
Caldwell added three goals in the fourth quarter sophomore
Jason Staudte (Sound Beach, N.Y.) and junior
Owen Healey (Washington, N.J.) tallied goals for the Cougars. Albright netted the game's final goal at the 1:48 mark.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Shane Murphy (Middletown, N.J.) recorded 10 saves in 45 minutes in net, while junior
Nicholas Mele (Albertson, N.Y.) posted one save in 15 minutes.
The Cougars host Davis & Elkins College in their season final on Sunday, April 23 at 11 am at Essex Valley Field.
