LAKEWOOD, N.J.- Caldwell University women's lacrosse freshman Madison Ellis (Wayne, N.J.) scored twice in the Cougars 20-4 loss to Georgian Court University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
 
The Cougars fall to 0-6 overall and 0-2 in the CACC, while the Lions improve to 4-7 and 3-0 in conference play.
 
Georgian Court scored the first six goals of the game as Ellis scored the lone Caldwell goal in the first half.
 
Junior Kelsey Maxwell (Center Moriches, N.Y.) and senior Emily Lasko (Jackson, N.J.) added goals for the Cougars in the third quarter, while Ellis scored in the final seconds of the game for Caldwell.
 
Senior Mia Monacelli (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) played all 60 minutes, posting six saves in the game.
 
The Cougars host Felician University for a CACC contest on Wednesday, March 30 at 4 pm at Essex Valley Field in West Caldwell.
