Madison Ellis (Wayne, N.J.) netted six goals as the Cougars fell to Post University 18-11 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 0-5 overall and 0-1 in the CACC, while the Eagles improve to 2-5 and 1-1 in conference play.
The teams matched goals in the first half with identical two goals in the first quarter and three second quarter goals for a 5-5 halftime tie. Ellis tallied three goals for the Cougars in the first half, while junior
Kelsey Maxwell (Center Moriches, N.Y.) scored twice.
Post scored the first seven goals to start the second half to go up 12-5. Caldwell answered with five straight goals to close the gap. Ellis and senior
Emily Lasko (Jackson, N.J.) each scored twice, while Maxwell capped the run with as goal at the 12:36 mark of the fourth quarter to cut the score to 12-10.
The Eagles outscored Caldwell 6-1 down the stretch with Ellis netting the lone Cougars goal over the final eight minutes of the game.

The Cougars travel to Georgian Court University for a CACC contest on Saturday, March 26 at 11 am.
