LAKE WORTH, Fla.- Caldwell University baseball sophomore
Noah Putney (Glassboro, N.J.) blasted a walk-off two-run homerun in the ninth inning to lift the Cougars to a thrilling 2-0 victory over Bentley University.
The Cougars improve to 4-2 on the season, while the Falcons drop to 2-9.
Both pitchers matched each other over nine innings as Bentley's Jimmy Hodgson allowed six hits with two walks through 8 2/3 innings.
Freshman
Brandon Scalisi (New City, N.Y.) was equal to the task as he tossed nine scoreless innings, scattering two hits, while striking out nine to earn his first collegiate victory.

Santo Anzalone (Middle Village, N.Y.) singled with two outs. Sophomore
Brian Cotter (Bayonne, N.J.) was called on as a pinch runner as Putney followed with the walk-off homerun to send the Cougars off to a win.
The Cougars and the Falcons face off again on Tuesday, March 15 at 2 pm at the Santaluces Sports Complex.
