LAKE WORTH, Fla.- The Caldwell University baseball team split a doubleheader against Stonehill College as they continued trip in the Sunshine State. The Cougars won the opener 6-4, while the Skyhawks took the nightcap 14-2.

In the opener, Caldwell collected 16 hits in the opener led by senior
Jalen March (Baltimore, Md.) going 4-for-4 with two runs scored. Senior
Kyle Richards (Sayreville, N.J.) and freshman
Liam James (Roseland, N.J.) each went 3-for-4 with James driving in three runs.

Frank Lehmann (Colonia, N.J.) went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Junior
Brian Mackey (New Milford, N.J.) tossed four innings in relief to earn the win, allowing two unearned runs on two hits with six strikeouts.

In the nightcap, Caldwell went held to five hits in the game. Sophomore
Noah Putney (Glassboro, N.J.) went 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Junior
Michael Lazzaro (Toms River, N.J.) went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

The Cougars continue their Florida trip as they play Bentley University on Monday, March 14 at 11 am at the Santaluces Sports Complex. Â
