LAKE WORTH, Fla.- Caldwell University baseball freshman Santo Anzalone (Middle Village, N.Y.) and senior Jalen March (Baltimore, Md.) blasted homeruns as the Cougars defeated Stonehill College 11-8 to open their Florida trip.
 
The Cougars improve to 2-1, while the Skyhawks fall to 6-8.
 
Senior Kyle Richards (Sayreville, N.J.) collected four hits in the win with three runs scored. Anzalone connected on a two-run homerun in the third inning, while March added a two-run homerun in the seventh.
 
The teams headed to the eighth inning tied at 8-8 with Richard giving Caldwell the lead for good with a run scoring double. The Cougars added two more runs in the frame for push ahead by three runs.
 
March added two hits in the game, while freshman Liam Lombardi (Stony Point, N.Y.) went 3-for-5 with two RBI.
 
The Cougars continue their Florida trip as they play a doubleheader against Stonehill College on Sunday, March 13 at the Santaluces Sports Complex.
