CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's basketball junior
Rebecca Morrison (Ayrshire, Scotland) netted 16 points as the Cougars fell short to Thomas Jefferson University 50-47 in a non-conference game.
The Cougars fall to 10-10 overall, while the Rams improve to 15-5.

Halle Brown (Downingtown, Pa.) connected on three-pointers to help the Cougars close the gap to within nine points at 21-12 midway through the second quarter.
Caldwell battled back late in the second quarter with a 12-3 run as Morrison scored six points, including the game-tying free throws at the 1:10 mark. The Rams connected on a free throw in the final minute to take a 25-24 halftime lead.
The teams played a tight third quarter before the Rams pull ahead 44-35 midway through the fourth quarter. Caldwell rallied back with 10-2 run as Brown converted a three-point play, while Morrison drained a triple in the run. Junior
Casey O'Shaughnessy (Brooklyn, N.Y.) connected on two free throws with 1:01 to play in the game to cut the score to 46-45. The Rams converted on four free throws in the final minute to hold off the Cougars.
Morrison led the way with 16 points and six rebounds, while O'Shaughnessy added 10 points, four assists and two steals. Brown finished with eight points, five boards and four steals. Dits grabbed 10 rebounds, while junior

The Cougars travel to Wilmington University for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest on Saturday, February 5 at 1 pm.
