CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's volleyball junior
Reese Sherwood (Salem Ore.) posted her seventh triple-double, while junior
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) recorded six blocks as the Cougars downed Post University 3-1 in a pivotal Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference North Division contest.
The Cougars improve to 5-11 overall and 4-5 in the CACC, while the Eagles drop to 5-13 and 3-6 in conference play.
The Cougars led 16-13 in the first set before Post rallied to take a 20-16 lead. The Cougars scored four straight points to tie at 20 but the Eagles pushed ahead to take the set 25-21. The second set went back and forth with Caldwell pulling ahead 20-17. Post battled to back to pull even at 23 before the Cougars scored the final two points to in 25-23 and even the match.
Post jumped out to a 9-5 lead in the third set but the Cougars rallied back to take a 23-20 lead. The Eagles took a 24-23 lead but the Cougars netted three straight points to win 26-24. Caldwell opened up a 15-7 lead in the fourth set on their way to a 25-16 win to take the match.
Sherwood posted her seventh triple double this season with 13 kills, 15 assists, 23 digs along with four aces. Schiltz tallied 13 kills and a season-high eight total blocks (two solo).

Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) finished with eight kills and six digs, while freshman
Wyette Schubert-Brown (Chatsworth, N.J.) totaled five kills, five blocks and 13 digs.

Shayna Saltzman (Pine Beach, N.J.) added 14 assists and 11 digs, while graduate
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) posted 21 digs and nine assists.
The Cougars travel to the University of Bridgeport for a CACC contest on Tuesday, October 11 at 7 pm.
