ORANGEBURG, N.Y.- Caldwell University men's soccer senior
Chris Ferri (Parsippany, N.J.) scored a pair of goals as the Cougars emerged with a 3-1 victory against Dominican University of New York in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars improve to 3-6-2 overall and 2-2-2 in the CACC, while the Chargers fall to 1-8-3 and 0-6-1 in conference play.
Caldwell got on the board first as Ferri scored in the 28th minute to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead.
The Chargers pulled even early in the second half with a goal in the 56th minute. Ferri notched his second goal of the day off an assist from senior
Nickolas Fiallos (Kearny, N.J.) in the 69th minute to retake a one goal advantage.
Senior
Andre Vieira (Union, N.J.) added an insurance goal in the 84th minute as the Cougars held one for a two-goal victory.
Sophomore
Dylan Valencia (Elizabeth, N.J.) played all 90 minutes, stopping seven shots in the win.
The Cougars travel to Chestnut Hill College in a CACC contest on Saturday, October 8 at 2 pm.
