GARDEN CITY, N.Y.- Caldwell University women's volleyball junior
Reese Sherwood (Salem Ore.) netted 10 kills as the Cougars fell to Adelphi University 3-0 in a non-conference match.
The Cougars fall to 4-11 overall, while the Panthers improve to 9-8.
Adelphi took the opener set 25-18 and won the next two sets 25-17 and 25-17.
Sherwood led the way with 10 kills, seven assists and five digs, while senior
Mary Grace Hartmann (Cutchogue, N.Y.) added four kills and three digs.
Graduate
Shayna Saltzman (Pine Beach, N.J.) finished with nine assists and two digs, while graduate
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) posted a match-high 18 digs.
Caldwell returns to conference play as they host Post University on Wednesday, October 5 at 5 pm.
