CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's volleyball freshman
Wyette Schubert-Brown (Chatsworth, N.J.) led the way with 11 kills as the Cougars defeated Alliance University 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference North Division contest.
The Cougars improve to 6-12 overall and 5-6 in the CACC, while Alliance falls to 2-20 and 0-11 in conference play.
Caldwell won the first two sets 25-16 and 25-15. The teams played a competitive third set but the Cougars outlasted Alliance 25-22 to take the match.
Schubert-Brown led the Cougars with 11 kills and one block, while junior
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) tallied nine kills and one block. Graduate
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) added seven kills, three digs and one block.
Junior
Reese Sherwood (Salem Ore.) posted six kills, 19 assists and three digs, while senior
Alexsandra Mojica (Kearny, N.J.) finished with four kills.
Graduate
Shayna Saltzman (Pine Beach, N.J.) totaled 10 assists and three aces, while graduate
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) recorded a match-high 19 digs.
The Cougars travel to Thomas Jefferson University for a CACC contest on Sunday, October 16 at noon.
