CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University men's soccer senior
Chris Ferri (Parsippany, N.J.) netted the lone Cougar goal in a 1-1 draw against Bloomfield College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars move 4-6-3 overall and 3-2-3 in the CACC, while the Bears stand at 1-8-4 and 1-6-2 in conference play.
Bloomfield struck first as they scored in the 36th minute to take a 1-0 lead
Caldwell answered six minutes later in the 42nd minute as Ferri netted the equalizer off an assist from junior
Israel Dos Santos Neto (Salvador Bahia, Brazil).
The teams battled through a scoreless second half with Bloomfield holding a 13-9 shot advantage and 7-2 shots on goal. Caldwell held the edge in corner kicks 2-0.
Sophomore
Dylan Valencia (Elizabeth, N.J.) posted six saves in 90 minutes in net.
The Cougars host Holy Family University in a CACC contest on Saturday, October 15 at 1:30 pm.
