PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- Caldwell University women's volleyball junior
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) and senior
Mary Grace Hartmann (Cutchogue, N.Y.) combined for 12 total blocks as the Cougars fell to South Division leader Holy Family University 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 4-10 overall and 3-5 in the CACC, while the Bears improve to 8-9 and 6-0 in conference play.
The teams played a competitive match with the Tigers taking all three sets 25-23, 25-23 and 25-21.
Junior
Reese Sherwood (Salem Ore.) tallied eight kills, 13 assists, three block assists and six digs. Freshman
Wyette Schubert-Brown (Chatsworth, N.J.) added eight kills and three digs, while senior
Alexsandra Mojica (Kearny, N.J.) finished with five kills and two blocks.
Hartmann totaled three kills and six total blocks (two solo), while Schiltz netted two kills and six block assists.
Graduate
Shayna Saltzman (Pine Beach, N.J.) totaled 13 assists and six digs, while graduate
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) led the team with 13 digs.
Caldwell travel to Adelphi University for a non-conference match on Monday, October 3 at 7 pm.
