LYNDHURST, N.J.- The Caldwell University baseball team fell to Felician University 11-5 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest

The Cougars drop to 6-3 overall and 4-2 in the CACC, while the Golden Falcons improve to 5-9 and 3-1 in conference play.

Felician got on the board in the opening inning with a four-run first inning. The Cougars answered with two runs in the fifth inning as sophomore
Elias Negron (Virginia Beach, Va.) and junior
Frank Lehmann (Colonia, N.J.) singled to start the inning. Senior
Dhillon Barbetti (West Long Branch, N.J.) singled to drive in Negron with the first Caldwell run. Lehmann scored later in the inning on a Felician error.

The Golden Falcons added three runs in their half of the fifth to push ahead 7-2. Caldwell rallied in the seventh as they plated two runs. Senior
Luis Rullan (Bloomfield, N.J.) and junior
Kyle Richards (Sayreville, N.J.) singled in the seventh. Senior
Tavis Brunson (Westfield, N.J.) drove in Rullan with a single, while junior
Jalen March (Baltimore, Md.) added a run scoring ground out in the inning.

Felician tacked on two runs in the seventh and pushed across two in the eighth. In the ninth, Negron lifted a sacrifice fly for the final Caldwell run of the game.
