Women’s Lacrosse Wins Second Straight With Win over Felician

LYNDHURST, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's lacrosse team posted their season straight win as they defeated Felician University 19-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
 
The Cougars improve to 3-5 overall and 3-2 in the CACC, while the Golden Falcons fall to 0-4 and 0-4 in conference play.
 
Caldwell netted the first four goals of the game as graduate Arden Kassaleh (Pompton Plains, N.J.) scored twice, while junior Emily Lasko (Jackson, N.J.) and senior Jules Wesler (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) each score one for a 4-0 lead. Felician answered with their long goal at the 23:37 mark of the first half.
 
Kassaleh added four more goals in the half, while senior Samantha Murphy (Pompton Plains, N.J.) netted two goals in the half. Wesler and sophomore Kelsey Maxwell (Center Moriches, N.Y.) also found the net for Caldwell as the Cougars led 12-1 at halftime.
 
Caldwell added seven goals in the second half as Murphy scored five of the Cougars in the half. Wesler and Lasko added tallied for the Cougars over the final 30 minutes.
 
Murphy led the way with seven goals and one assist along with eight draw controls while Kassaleh finished with six goals, one assist, three ground balls and five draw controls. Lasko netted two goals, four assists and four ground balls, while Wesler posted three goals. Senior Marisa Amoresano (Denville, N.J.) added three assists.
 
Junior Mia Monacelli (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) netted seven saves in the win.
 
The Cougars host Wilmington University for a CACC contest on Saturday, April 24 at 1 pm at Essex Valley Field in West Caldwell.
