CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's lacrosse senior
Samantha Murphy (Pompton Plains, N.J.) scored her 100th career goal as the Cougars cruised past Nyack College 20-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars improve to 2-5 overall and 2-2 in the CACC, while the Warriors fall to 0-3 and 0-3 in conference play.
Murphy reached her career milestone in the first half as she tallied five goals over the first 30 minutes. Graduate
Arden Kassaleh (Pompton Plains, N.J.) added three goals in the half, while junior
Emily Lasko (Jackson, N.J.) netted two goals to help the Cougars build a 13-0 halftime lead.
The Cougars added to their lead in the second half as Kassaleh scored three times, while Murphy and sophomore
Kelsey Maxwell (Center Moriches, N.Y.) each score twice for Caldwell.
Murphy tallied eight points with seven goals and one assist along with six draw controls and four caused turnovers.
