CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University baseball team fell to Felician University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference twin bill. The Cougars fell in the opener 8-3 and lost the nightcap 14-5.

The Cougars fall to 6-6 overall and 4-4 in the CACC, while the Golden Falcons improve to 10-10 and 8-2 in conference play.

In the opener, Felician pulled ahead with one run in the opening inning and added five in the third inning.

Caldwell answered in the fourth inning as senior
Dhillon Barbetti (West Long Branch, N.J.) singled with one out. Senior
Tavis Brunson (Westfield, N.J.) followed with a triple to drive in the first Cougar run of the game. Junior
Frank Lehmann (Colonia, N.J.) added a run scoring ground out to cut the score to 6-2. The Cougars added a run in the fifth as senior
Luis Rullan (Bloomfield, N.J.) drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.

In the nightcap, the Golden Falcons opened up a 10-0 after their first five at-bats. The Cougars took advantage of a Felician error to score their first run in their half of the fifth. Caldwell loaded the bases later in the inning as Rullan was hit by a pitch to score a run. Brunson drew a walk, while junior
Kyle Richards (Sayreville, N.J.) singled to score two runs to cut the score to 10-5.
