CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team came up short to Holy Family University 2-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 2-1-1 and 2-1-1 in the CACC, while the Tigers improve to 2-0-1 and 2-0-1 in conference play.
Holy Family struck first as they took the lead with a goal in the 37th minute of the half and held a 1-0 at halftime.
Freshman
Kasey McConnell (Shirley, N.Y.) pulled the Cougars even at 1-1 in the 47th minute off a save from a shot from freshman
Kayla Neves (Henryville, Pa.), who earned the assist.
The Tigers netted the go-ahead goal in the 53rd minute to take a 2-1 lead and held off the Cougars down the stretch.
Junior
Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) finished with five saves in the contest,
The Cougars travel to Thomas Jefferson University for a CACC match on Saturday, March 27 at noon.
