Costanza Scores Twice as Women’s Soccer Blanks Nyack

CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's soccer sophomore Sarah Costanza (Morris Plains, N.J.) scored twice as the Cougars blanked Nyack College 4-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
 
The Cougars improve to 2-0-1 and 2-0-1 in the CACC, while the Warriors fall to 1-1-1 and 1-1-1 in conference play.
 
Costanza got Caldwell on the board as she netted a goal off a deflection in the fourth minute of play for the lone goal of the half.
 
The Cougars added three second-half goals as junior Brianna Lewis (Tucson, Ariz.) netted a goal off an assist from freshman Kayla Neves (Henryville, Pa.) in the 62nd minute.
 
Costanza netted her second goal of the game off a Neve corner kick for a 3-0 lead. Neves closed out the scoring in the game with a goal off a free kick in the 70th minute of play.
 
Junior Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) posted her second shutout of the season as she recorded one save in the win.
 
The Cougars return to action as they host Holy Family University on Tuesday, March 23 at 7 pm at the Kiwanis Oval.
