CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's volleyball team came up short to conference leader Georgian Court University 3-2 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 3-3 overall and 3-3 in the CACC, while the Lions improve to 7-2 overall and 6-0 in conference play.
Caldwell took the opening set 25-22, while the Lions won the next two sets 25-20 and 25-15. The Cougars evened the match with a 27-25 set four win. Georgian Court took the match with a 15-12 fifth set win.

Elise Smith (O'Fallon, Ill.) led the way with 21 kills, two aces and eight digs. Freshman
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) tallied 11 kills, six total blocks (four solo) and four digs.
Junior
Olivia Bellamy (Davison, Mich.) totaled seven kills, while freshman
Reese Sherwood (Salem, Ore.) finished with 40 assists, two blocks and 11 digs.

Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) added 12 digs, while junior
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) recorded 24 digs.
The Cougars will host the CACC Championship Quarterfinals on Tuesday, March 16 at 6 pm. Their opponent will be determined following the conclusion of the regular season contests this weekend. Tuesday's quarterfinal match will be streamed on the CACC Network at caccnetwork.com.
