CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's volleyball team fell to Felician University 3-2 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship Quarterfinals.
The Cougars end their season at 3-4, while the Golden Falcons improve to 2-5 and advance to the CACC semifinals.
Felician took the opening set 25-22 but the Cougars won the next two sets 25-15 and 25-17. The Golden Falcons held off Caldwell in the fourth set 26-24 and took the match with a 15-10 fifth set win.
Junior
Elise Smith (O'Fallon, Ill.) tallied 19 kills, two blocks and 11 digs, while freshman
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) totaled 12 kills, eight blocks (four solo) and nine digs.
Sophomore
Victoria Marquez (Humble, Texas) finished with 12 kills and five digs. Junior
Olivia Bellamy (Davison, Mich.) recorded seven kills in the match.
Freshman
Reese Sherwood (Salem, Ore.) added four kills, 50 assists, four blocks and eight digs.
Junior
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) netted four aces and 10 digs, while junior
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) led the Cougars with 15 digs.
