ORANGEBURG, N.Y.- The Caldwell University women's basketball team fell to Dominican College 66-43 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 3-5 overall and 3-5 in the CACC, while the Chargers improve to 9-1 overall and 8-1 in conference play.
The Chargers opened up a 12-5 lead midway through the opening quarter. The Cougars closed the gap to 14-9 before Dominican pushed their lead to 38-22 at halftime.
Junior
Shadajah Thomas (Plainfield, N.J.) drained a three-pointer in the third quarter to help the Cougars cut the score to 45-35 at the end of the third quarter.
The Chargers scored the first 10 points to start the fourth quarter and led the rest of the way.
Thomas led the way with 12 points, nine rebounds and three steals. Freshman
Jennifer Damoah (Montreal, Quebec, Canada/St. John College) added 10 points, six boards, and three assists.
The Cougars host Bloomfield College in their regular season finale for a CACC contest on Sunday, February 28 at 1:00 pm. The game will be streamed on the CACC Network at caccnetwork.com.
