LAKEWOOD, N.J.- Caldwell University women's volleyball sophomore
Reese Sherwood (Salem, Ore.) posted 13 kills in the Cougars 3-0 loss to Georgian Court University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match.
The Cougars fall to 2-22 overall and 2-13 in the CACC, while the Lions improve to 21-8 and 12-5 in conference play.
Georgian Court won the opening set 25-11 to take an early advantage. The teams played two close sets as the Lions emerged victorious with 25-19 and 25-23 wins in the second and third set respectively.
Sherwood led the Cougars with 13 kills, nine assists and seven digs, while sophomore
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) added six kills and three block assists. Graduate
Shayna Saltzman (Pine Beach, N.J.) totaled four kills and five digs, while senior
Olivia Bellamy (Davison, Mich.) recorded four kills.
Junior
Mary Grace Hartmann (Cutchogue, N.Y.) posted four kills and two blocks, while, while senior
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) tallied 11 assists, two aces and eight digs.
Senior
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) led Caldwell with 10 digs along with seven assists.
The Cougars travel to Post University for a CACC match on Monday, November 8 at 7 pm.
