WATERBURY, Conn.- Caldwell University men's soccer senior
Kevin Avila (Newark, N.J.) and junior
Andre Vieira (Union, N.J.) each scored goals in the Cougars 5-2 loss to Post University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 4-11-0 and finish 2-9-0 in the CACC, while the Eagles improve to 8-5-1 overall and 8-2-0 in conference play.
Post got on the board with a goal in the third minute of play and added three first goals in the half for a 4-0 lead.
The Eagles netted a goal early in the second half but the Cougars answered with a pair of goal over the final 45 minutes.
Avila tallied a goal in the 58th minute off an assist from senior
Mateo Cobos (Newark, N.J.). Vieira added a late goal for the Cougars off an assist from junior
Chris Ferri (Parsippany, N.J.) in the 89th minute.
Sophomore
Jalen Folsom (Beachwood, N.J.) recorded five saves in the game.
The Cougars close out their 2021 season as they travel to the College of Staten Island for a non-conference game on Thursday, November 4 at 3 pm.
