CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's volleyball team fell to the University of New Haven 3-0 in a non-conference match.
The Cougars fall to 2-10, while the Chargers improve to 12-5.
The teams battled through a competitive first set with New Haven holding off the Cougars 25-19. The Chargers took the final two sets 25-9 and 25-9.
Sophomore
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) led the Cougars with five kills and two blocks. Junior
Mary Grace Hartmann (Cutchogue, N.Y.) totaled three kills, while sophomore
Reese Sherwood (Salem, Ore.) finished with 12 assists and four digs.
Senior
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) posted six digs, while senior
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) added 10 digs.
The Cougars host Post University for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match on Thursday, October 7 at 5 pm.
