CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's volleyball team fell short to Thomas Jefferson University 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match.
The Cougars fall to 2-20 overall and 2-11 in the CACC, while the Rams improve to 19-4 and 10-4 in conference play.
The teams played three close sets as the Rams won 25-23, 26-24 and 25-22 to take the match.
Sophomore
Reese Sherwood (Salem, Ore.) totaled nine kills, nine assists, three aces, three block assists and five digs. Sophomore
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) added nine kills, while senior
Olivia Bellamy (Davison, Mich.) tallied five kills and five total blocks (two solo).
Junior
Mary Grace Hartmann (Cutchogue, N.Y.) recorded four block assists, while senior
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) finished with 11 assists, two aces and six digs.
Senior
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) led the Cougars with 10 digs.
The Cougars travel to Bloomfield College for a CACC match on Thursday, November 4 at 7:30 pm.
