JERSEY CITY, N.J.- Caldwell University women's volleyball junior
Mary Grace Hartmann (Cutchogue, N.Y.) totaled a season-high 11 kills in the Cougars 3-1 setback to Nyack College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match.
The Cougars fall to 2-19 overall and 2-10 in the CACC, while the Warriors improve to 2-16 and 2-10 in conference play.
Nyack edged Caldwell in the opening set 25-23 but the Cougars evened the match as they took the second set 25-18. The Warriors took the final two sets 25-18 and 25-23 to take the match.
Sophomore
Reese Sherwood (Salem, Ore.) recorded a triple double with 19 kills, 19 assists and 10 digs along with three aces. Hartmann netted 11 kills, while sophomore
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) totaled seven kills and four total blocks (two solo).
Senior
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) posted a match-high 28 digs with two aces, while senior
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) finished with 19 assists, two aces and nine digs.
The Cougars host Thomas Jefferson University a CACC match on Sunday, October 31 at noon.
