LAKEWOOD, N.J.- The Caldwell University men's soccer team fell to Georgian Court University 5-2 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 3-8-0, and 1-6-0 in the CACC while Lions improve to 9-0-2 and 6-0-1 in conference play.
Georgian Court got on the board with two goals in the first 10 minutes of the game. The Lions added two more goals in the half for a 4-0 halftime advantage.
Caldwell got on the board early in the second half as senior
Mateo Cobos (Newark, N.J.) scored in the 49th minute off an assist from sophomore
Steven Espinoza (Harrison. N.J.). The Cougars scored their second goal 11 minutes later as sophomore
Israel Dos Santos Neto (Salvador Bahia, Brazil) off an assist from sophomore
Matthew Escobar (Kearny, N.J.).
Georgian Court added a late goal in the 68th minute of play.
Freshman
Dylan Valencia (Elizabeth, N.J.) played the first half in net, recording two saves. Sophomore
Jalen Folsom (Beachwood, N.J.) totaled four saves in the second half in net.
The Cougars host Nyack College for a CACC contest on Tuesday, October 19 at 3 pm.
