CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's volleyball senior
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) led the way with 34 assists as the Cougars fell 3-1 to Chestnut Hill College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match.

The Cougars fall to 2-13 overall and 2-6 in the CACC, while the Griffins improve to 3-11 and 1-6 in conference play. Â

Caldwell rallied back from an early deficit to take the opening set 25-23. The Griffins won the next two sets 25-15 and 25-21. The teams battled through a back and forth fourth set before Chestnut Hill scored the final three points to win 26-24.

Sophomore
Reese Sherwood (Salem, Ore.) netted 15 kills and 13 digs, while sophomore
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) added nine kills, two aces and three total blocks (one solo).

Ashton recorded 34 assists, three aces and 10 digs, while junior
Mary Grace Hartmann (Cutchogue, N.Y.) finished with six kills and two block assists.

Graduate
Shayna Saltzman (Pine Beach, N.J.) posted four kills and 11 digs, while senior
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) led the way with 34 digs. Freshman
Karin Ojeda (Toms River, N.J.) totaled 17 digs. Â
