CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's soccer junior
Taylor Gutierrez (Tucson, Ariz.) netted the lone Caldwell goal as the Cougars fell short to Dominican College 2-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 5-7-0, and 3-4-0 in the CACC while Chargers improve to 6-4-0 and 5-1-0 in conference play.
Caldwell got on the board midway through the opening half as graduate
Teaghan Darling (Forked River, N.J.) fed the ball to Gutierrez in front of the net for a 1-0 Caldwell lead. The Cougars maintained their lead early into the second half.
Dominican scored the equalizer in the 56th minute of play to even the score at 1-1. The Chargers took the lead in the 75th minute but the Cougars had several scoring chances down the stretch that fell short.

Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) totaled four saves in the loss.
The Cougars travel to Georgian Court University for a CACC contest on Saturday, October 16 at 1 pm.
