CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's volleyball team came up short to the University of the Sciences 3-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match.
The Cougars fall to 2-9 and 2-3 in the CACC, while the Devils improve to 2-5 and 2-3 in conference play.
The Devils won the opening set 25-17 and took the second set 25-15. USciences earned a 25-19 win in the third set to take the match.
Sophomore
Reese Sherwood (Salem, Ore.) tallied seven kills, 12 assists and four digs, while junior
Mary Grace Hartmann (Cutchogue, N.Y.) added seven kills. Sophomore
Amanda Schiltz (Durham, N.C.) finished with seven kills and two blocks.
Senior
Olivia Bellamy (Davison, Mich.) totaled six kills and two blocks, while senior
Samantha Ashton (Colonia, N.J.) totaled 12 assists and seven digs. Senior
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) tallied a match-high 15 digs.
The Cougars return to their home court as they host the University of New Haven for a non-conference match on Tuesday, October 5 at 5 pm.
