CALDWELL N.J.- The Caldwell University Athletics Department recognized university President Nancy Blattner during its "Super Saturday" alumni event on Saturday, Feb. 22. Dr. Blattner is departing Caldwell this summer after an 11-year run as the university's president.

The Caldwell Athletics Department along with the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference recognized Dr. Blattner for her service and commitment to Caldwell. During her presidency, the Athletics Department has experienced dramatic growth as well as athletic and academic success. Since 2010, seven new sports have been added which has nearly doubled the number of student-athletes at Caldwell. The athletic teams have won 10 conference championships and sent 15 teams to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

CACC Commissioner Dan Mara presented Dr. Blattner with a plaque from the president's council for her service on the council. Caldwell Assistant Vice President/Director of Athletics
Mark A. Corino gave Dr. Blattner gifts on behalf of the athletics department including a quilt with a photo book with athletics highlights during her presidency. Caldwell women's bowling alumnae Madison Miller spoke as a representative of the department about the positive impact Dr. Blattner had on her during her academic and athletics experience at Caldwell.
