WATERBURY, Conn.- The Caldwell University women's basketball team fell to Post University 75-51 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 5-17 overall and 5-8 in the CACC, while the Eagles improve to 16-4 and 11-2 in conference play.
Post opened up a 14-5 lead over the first five minutes of the game as senior
Tina Lebron (Manalapan, N.J.) drained a triple for the Cougars. Caldwell trimmed the score to 14-9 following buckets by freshman
Rebecca Morrison (Ayrshire, Scotland) and freshman
Halle Brown (Downingtown, Pa.).
The Eagles answered and they extended their lead into double digits and led 37-21 at halftime. Post maintained their lead into the second half.
Morrison led the way with 20 points and three rebounds. Brown added 12 points, two boards, three assists and three steals. Freshman
Jessica Wagoner (Clifton Park, N.Y.) led the team with seven rebounds.
The Cougars host Wilmington University for a CACC contest on Saturday, February 8 at 1:00 pm.
