CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University men's basketball team fell to Dominican College 67-49 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 12-13 and 8-9 in the CACC, while the Chargers improve to 20-6 and 13-4 in conference play.
Caldwell got off to a fast start as junior
Manley Dorme (Nanuet, N.Y.) netted four points as the Cougars jumped out to an 8-4 lead over the first four minutes. The Chargers pulled even at 10 and pushed their lead to 25-16 midway through the opening half.
The Cougars cut the score to 25-19 with 6:46 left in the half. Dominican made a late run to pull ahead 40-24 at halftime.
The Chargers maintained a double-digit lead into the second half to take the win.
Dorme led the way with 12 points and seven rebounds, while senior
Ned Ogoemesim (Westampton, N.J.) added 10 points and three boards. Senior
AJ Kittles (Glassboro, N.J.) grabbed seven rebounds, while sophomore
Anthony Cooper (Ashburn, Va.) added seven points.
The Cougars travel to Felician University for a CACC contest on Wednesday, February 26 at 8 pm.
