Ogoemesim Nets 15 Points in Men’s Basketball Loss to Concordia

BRONXVILLE, N.Y.- The Caldwell University men's basketball team fell to Concordia College 85-73 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
 
The Cougars fall to 12-11 and 8-7 in the CACC, while the Clippers improve to 5-18 and 4-10 in conference play.
 
The teams traded leads over the first six minutes as sophomore Anthony Cooper (Ashburn, Va.) drained a pair of triples. Cooper added a pair of free throws at the 14:09 mark to tie the game at 12.
 
The Clippers pushed ahead 20-14 midway through the half but the Cougars rallied back.
Senior Ned Ogoemesim (Westampton, N.J.) drained a three-pointer to cut the score to 22-21 with 9:23 left in the half. Concordia opened up a double-digit lead and held a 44-27 advantage at halftime.
 
The Cougars rallied back in the second half as freshman Gabe Johnson (Bloomfield, N.J.) early in the half. Ogoemesim connected on a bucket with 8:53 left in the game to trim the score to 60-55. Concordia answered with a run to push their lead into double digits and held the lead the rest of the way.
 
Cooper led the way with 15 points, while Ogoemesim totaled 15 points, five boards and four assists. Senior AJ Kittles (Glassboro, N.J.) posted 12 points and three rebounds, while Johnson tallied 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Senior Ruud Lutterman (Dalem, Netherlands) recorded eight points and six boards, while junior Manley Dorme (Nanuet, N.Y.) finished with six points and eight rebounds.
 
The Cougars travel to Holy Family University for a CACC contest on Saturday, February 15 at 3:00 pm.
