Overview
The Caldwell University Men's Soccer team will travel to Worcester, MA to start their 2019 season as they face off against Assumption College, on Saturday, September 7 at 2:00 pm.

Scouting the Cougars
The Cougars are coming off an overall record of 6-10-2, and 6-5-1 in conference play last season.
 
Key Returners:

• Senior Sander Golmen (Lier, Norway) tied for the team lead with 15 points on six goals and three assists. He netted one game-winning goal against Dominican College and earned CACC All-Tournament honors for netting a goal in Caldwell's quarterfinal game.
• Senior Erland Aase (Bergen, Norway) netted 15 points on six goals and three assists last season for the Cougars.
• Juniors Kevin Avila (Newark, N.J.) and Mattia Cella (Zoagli, Italy) each finished with five points on two goals and one assist.
• Junior Goalkeeper Nils Svere (Lier, Norway) was a CACC Second Team All-Conference selection as he recorded 80 saves as the primary goal keeper last season.
• The Cougars were picked tied for sixth place with Bloomfield College in the 2019 CACC Preseason Coaches Poll.

 
Scouting the Greyhounds
The Greyhounds are coming off an overall record of 8-7-2, and 6-5-2 in conference play last season.

• Jason Lages led the team with nine goals and earned All-East Third-Team and NE10 All-Conference Second Team Honors.
• Nicolas Cardona was an NE-10 Second Team All-Conference selection
• Ruben Faria, Sebastian Jimenez and Connor Willis were NE-10 All-Rookie honors in 2018.  
• Assumption College ranked sixth in the 2019 NE-10 Preseason Coaches Poll.

 
Next Up
After their season opener in Massachusetts, the Cougars travel to Syracuse, NY to face off against Le Moyne College, on Friday, September 13.
