Grundhauser Nets Game Winner in Overtime As Women’s Soccer Downs Chestnut Hill

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- Caldwell University women's soccer senior Meghan Grundhauser (Easton, Pa.) netted the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the Cougars to a 2-1 victory over Chestnut Hill College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.  
 
The Cougars improve to 3-2-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the CACC, while the Griffins drop to 2-4-0 and 0-3-0 in conference play.
 
Chestnut Hill got on the board in the third minute to take an early 1-0 lead.
 
Caldwell answered midway through the second half as freshman Sarah Costanza (Morris Plains, N.J.) netted the equalizer tying the game at 1-1.
 
The game headed to overtime where the Cougars emerged victorious. Junior Teaghan Darling (Forked River, N.J.) assisted on Grundhauser's game-winner to complete the come from behind win.
 
Freshman Erin Emery (Teaneck, N.J.) played the first half in net, recording one save. Sophomore Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) earned the win in relief, posting two saves.  
 
The Cougars host Georgian Court University in a CACC contest on Saturday, October 5 at 11 am.
