CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's soccer freshman
Sarah Costanza (Morris Plains, N.J.) netted the game's lone goal in the Cougars 1-0 win over Georgian Court University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars improve to 4-2-1 overall and 3-0-1 in the CACC, while the Lions drop to 4-4-1 and 2-1-1 in conference play.
The teams battled through a scoreless opening half as the Lions held the shot advantage 6-4 over the first 45 minutes of play.
Caldwell broke through early in the second half as Costanza tallied lone goal of the game that proved to be the game-winner for the Cougars in the 55th minute.
Sophomore
Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) recorded four saves in her second shutout of the season.
The Cougars travel to Dominican College for a CACC contest o n Wednesday, October 9 at 2 pm.
