LYNDHURST, N.J.- The Caldwell University men's soccer team came up short to Felician University 1-0 in their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opener.
 
The Cougars fall to 0-6-0 overall and 0-2-0 in the CACC, while the Golden Falcons improve to 2-4-0 and 1-1-0 in conference play.
 
The teams battled through 86 minutes of a scoreless tie. The Golden Falcons broke through in the 87th minute as they netted the lone goal of the game.
 
Junior Thomas Santana (Carmo do Rio Claro, Brazil) recorded seven shots in the game as Caldwell held the edge in shots 15-13.
 
Junior keeper Nils Svere (Lier, Norway) recorded two saves in the game.
 
The Cougars travel to Chestnut Hill College for a CACC contest on Saturday, September 28 at 3 pm.
