LYNDHURST, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team netted a first half goal as the Cougars held on for a 1-0 victory over Felician University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars improve to 2-2-1 overall and 1-0-1 in the CACC, while the Golden Falcons drop to 1-3-0 and 0-2-0 in conference play.
Caldwell got on the board in the 29th minute as freshman
Sarah Costanza (Morris Plains, N.J.) tallied her first collegiate goal off an assist from senior
Meghan Grundhauser (Easton, Pa.).
The Cougar defense stood tall as Caldwell outshot Felician 18-5 for the game.
Sophomore keeper
Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) posted two saves in the win.
The Cougars travel to Chestnut Hill College for a CACC contest on Saturday, September 28 at 1 pm.
