PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's tennis team fell in their conference opener 6-1 to Chestnut Hill College.
The Cougars open their season at 0-1 and 0-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, while the Griffins improve to 1-1 and 1-0 in the CACC.
Senior
Janis Jimenez (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) fell at #1 singles 6-1, 6-1, while sophomore
Kiana Wiggins (Washington, N.J.) came up short at #2 singles 6-2, 6-1.
Sophomore
Lauryn Schwint (Sparta, N.J.) battled at #4 singles but fell 6-4, 2-6, 6-10.
Freshman
Kathryn Hurlbut (LaHabra, Calif.) posted the lone win for Caldwell as she won 6-3, 1-6, 10-7 at #4 singles.
The Cougars host Post University in a CACC match on Wednesday, September 25 at 3 pm.
