CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's tennis team lost 6-1 to Post University in their home opener.
The Cougars fall to 0-2 overall and 0-2 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, while the Eagles improve to 4-2 and 2-0 in the CACC.
Senior
Janis Jimenez (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) lost her match at #1 singles 6-1, 6-0. Sophomore
Kiana Wiggins (Washington, N.J.) fell at #2 singles 6-1, 6-4.
Freshman
Kathryn Hurlbut (LaHabra, Calif.) won Caldwell's lone match as she took home the win at #5 singles 6-3, 6-2.
The Cougars lost at #1 and #2 doubles as Jimenez and freshman
Anne Ilardi (Oak Ridge, N.J.) fell at the top doubles 6-0. Wiggins and sophomore
Lauryn Schwint (Sparta, N.J.) came up short at #2 doubles 6-1.
The Cougars travel to the University of the Sciences for a CACC match on Saturday September 28 at noon.
