CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team rallied back from a two-goal second half deficit to tie Goldey-Beacom College 3-3 in their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opener.
The Cougars move to 1-2-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the CACC, while the Lightning stand at 0-2-2 and 0-0-1 in conference play.
The score remained tied for most of the first half until the last five minutes. Goldey-Beacom took the early lead with a goal in the 41st minute. Caldwell answered with under a minute to play in the half as junior

Sarah Costanza (Morris Plains, N.J.) just before halftime.
The Lightning scored a pair of goals in the 53rd and 58th minute of play to pull ahead 3-1. The Cougars battled back as senior
Meghan Grundhauser (Easton, Pa.) served the ball into box to senior
Katie Iannuzzi (Bloomingdale, N.J.), who headed the ball into the net to cut the score to 3-2 in the 65th minute.
Caldwell came up with the equalizer as junior
Jordan Madrid (Cherry Hill, N.J.) scored tying goal off a free kick.
The teams battled through two scoreless overtime periods before ending in a 3-3 draw.

Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) recorded one save in the match.
The Cougars return to the pitch as they travel to Felician University for a CACC contest on Wednesday, September 25 at 6 pm.
