CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University men's soccer team were edged by Goldey-Beacom College 2-1 in their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opener.
The Cougars fall to 0-5-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the CACC, while the Lightning improve to 3-3-0 and 1-0-0 in conference play.

Andre Vieira (Union, N.J.) ripped it home off the deflection to put the Cougars in front 1-0 in the tenth minute.
Goldey-Beacom netted the equalizer in the 36th minute, as the score remained tied at the half.
The Lightning took the lead early in the second half as they scored in the 49th minute. Goldey-Beacom held the edge in the shots 14-10 and corner kicks 7-3.
Junior keeper
Nils Svere (Lier, Norway) posted six saves in the game.
The Cougars continue conference play as they travel to Felician University on Wednesday, September 25 at 8 pm.
