FLUSHING, N.Y.- The Caldwell University women's tennis team opened their season at the ITA Division II East Regional Championship this past weekend. The tournament was held at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens.  
 
Senior Janis Jimenez (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) posted an 8-0 victory in her first singles match before falling 8-5 in the next round.
 
Freshman Kathryn Hurlbut (LaHabra, Calif.) fell in her opening singles match 8-0.
 
Sophomore Kiana Wiggins (Washington, N.J.) and sophomore Lauryn Schwint (Sparta, N.J.) competed in the doubles bracket and lost their opening match 9-7.
