CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University baseball team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader to Post University on Monday afternoon. The Eagles took the opener 23-2 and won the nightcap 4-1.
The Cougars fall to 8-19 overall and 6-12 in the CACC, while the Eagles improve to 15-13 and 13-5 in conference play.
In the opener, junior
Joseph Mitchell (Bogota, N.J.) hit a first-inning sacrifice fly for the Cougars. Red-shirt freshman
Mike Airey (Millville, N.J.) added a run scoring single in the seventh.
In the nightcap, Post took a 4-0 lead with three runs in the first and one in the fourth. Junior
Jack Zosulis (East Windsor, N.J.) drove in a run with a single in the fourth.
The Cougars travel to Bloomfield College for a CACC doubleheader on Tuesday, April 9 at 10 a.m.
