PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's lacrosse team fell to Jefferson 21-7 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 1-9 overall and 0-3 in the CACC, while the Rams improve to 5-4 and 4-0 in conference play.
Junior
Arden Kassaleh (Pompton Plains, N.J.) netted two early goals for the Cougars, while freshman
Emily Lasko (Jackson, N.J.) added a goal to keep the score tied at three at the 24:33 mark.
Jefferson pulled ahead 9-3 midway through the half with Lasko netting her second goal of the game. The Rams led 14-4 at the half and scored early in the second half to take a 15-4 lead.
Freshman
Jenna Steelman (Mays Landing, N.J.) scored early in the second half while Kassaleh tallied a pair of late goals for the Cougars.
Kassaleh led the way with four goals, four draw controls and two ground balls. Sophomore
Samantha Murphy (Pompton Plains, N.J.) posted three assists, four ground balls and two draw controls. Lasko finished with two goals, while freshman
Caroline Hastings (Parsippany, N.J.) recorded three draw controls.
Freshman
Mia Monacelli (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) recorded 12 saves.
Caldwell travels to Felician University for a CACC contest on Tuesday, April 9 at 7 p.m.
