NYACK, N.Y.- Caldwell University women's basketball freshman
Tamrin Henderson (Woodbridge, Va.) and senior
Andie Lennon (Secaucus, N.J.) each netted 16 points as the Cougars ran their win streak to five with a 70-51 victor over Nyack College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars improve to 10-14 overall and 10-7 in the CACC, while the Warriors drop to 4-22 and 2-15 in conference play.
Caldwell trailed 9-8 midway through the opening quarter but closed out with 12 straight points. Lennon drained a pair of late three-pointers to help the Cougars pull ahead 20-9 after the opening quarter. Caldwell shot 16-of-32 (50%) in the opening half that paced them to a 36-18 halftime lead.
Nyack got as close as 10 points midway through the third quarter but the Cougars answered to hold a double digit lead the rest of the way.
Lennon totaled 16 points, six assists and two steals. Henderson posted 16 points and six boards. Freshman
Paula Dits (Alicante, Spain) added 12 points and three assists, while senior
Kristen Siscamanis (Winthrop, Mass.) finished with nine points and seven rebounds. Junior
Tina Lebron (Manalapan, N.J.) tallied eight points, seven rebounds and six assists.
The Cougars host Concordia College on Wednesday, February 27 for a CACC contest at 5:30 pm. Prior to the game, Caldwell will recognize its two graduating seniors.
