NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y.- Caldwell University women's soccer freshman
Sarah Costanza (Morris Plains, N.J.) tallied a career-high three goals in a 4-1 win over Concordia College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars improve to 9-3-3 overall and finish conference play at 8-1-3, good for third place in the CACC. The Clippers end their season at 5-10-1 and 3-8-1 in the CACC.
Caldwell took the early lead as Costanza netted her first goal of the game in the 20th minute. Concordia pulled even eight minutes later to knot the game at 1-1.
Senior
Meghan Grundhauser (Easton, Pa.) gave the Cougars the lead just before halftime in the 42nd minute off an assist from freshman
Nicole Alfano (Union, N.J.) and junior
Teaghan Darling (Forked River, N.J.).
Costanza netted her second goal of the game in the 50th minute off an assist from freshman
Lucy Rennar (Roselle Park, N.J.). Caldwell extended their lead five minutes later as Costanza capped her career day with her third goal of the game.
Sophomore
Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) totaled seven saves in the win.
The Cougars secured the #3 seed in the CACC and will host #6 Post University in the 2019 CACC Championship Quarterfinals on Tuesday, November 12.
