CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's volleyball team defeated Post University 3-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match.
The Cougars improve to 11-17 overall and 9-7 in the CACC, while the Eagles drop to 4-24 and 4-13 in conference play.
Caldwell won the first set 25-12 but fell short in the second set 25-17. The Cougars battled back to win the next two sets 25-20 and 25-16 to win the match.
Junior
Chloe Kissner (Seabrook, Texas) led the Cougars with 15 kills and four digs, while junior
Marina Schlaepfer (Aurora, Colo.) tallied 14 kills, four aces and six digs. Sophomore
Elise Smith (O'Fallon, Ill.) added 13 kills and 11 digs, while freshman
Cassandra Rother (Fresno, Calif.) finished with three blocks and two aces.
Sophomore
Humiko Stormer (Luckey, Ohio) posted 19 digs, while sophomore
Sophie Hicks (Christchurch, New Zealand) netted 43 assists and six digs.
The Cougars host Goldey-Beacom College for a CACC match on Saturday, November 9 at 3 pm at the George R. Newman Center.
